My child is at college — Is their personal property covered under my homeowners insurance policy?

It’s the time of year when children are off for college campuses.  Some children are not living in dorms this year.  Many times these apartments won’t hand over the keys until  proof is shown of  insurance on their personal belongings as well as liability.
